  • Abstract
    Considering energy storage system as a power compensation device in substation, energy storage system capacity is calculated with different compensation depth based on analyzing the substation load characteristics. From the perspective of economic, reasonable compensation depth and capacity of the energy storage system in substation is obtained. Case study shows that the method can get the compensation depth according to specific substation load characteristics. Combined with the construction investment, reasonable compensation depth of substation make the “peak load shifting” in the substation became economic feasibility.
