Abstract
A fuzzy Petri net model is very large and is difficult to manage, when its knowledge system is complex. It is necessary to give a formal method to model and manage it. Aiming at this object, a object oriented fuzzy Petri net model is proposed in this paper. It is called object oriented fuzzy Petri net (OOFPN). Just as other fuzzy Petri net (FPN) models, OOFPN can be used for knowledge representation and reasoning, but OOFPN has one important advantage: it can divide a complex knowledge system into several functional subsystems
