  • Abstract
    Progress on the “Airborne Lidar Topographic Mapping System (ALTMS) Sensor” is summarized. The new sensor design is based on years of flight and data collection experience with the National Aeronautics and Apace Administration´s airborne oceanographic lidar system. The new ALTMS design incorporates off-the-shelf state-of-the-art laser and computer technology to record and process digital topographic data. ALTMS is intended to be offered as a commercially available system and service in the near future
