Abstract
We present a new Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) standard service which is a synchronization mechanism of contents that are expressed by ContentDirectory Service (CDS) of UPnP Audio/Video (UPnP AV) standard. So far, there is no standardized service for content synchronization of UPnP AV system. Content synchronization functionality in a standardized way provides a controller with uniform control method and better user experience even though various vendors make a different product. This paper presents an architecture that introduces a new UPnP Service, UPnP ContentSync Service (CSS), to synchronize contents between two ContentDirectory Services.
