  • Abstract
Expressway emergency rescue system is important for the expressway safety management.Through analyzing the traffic incident on expressway; this paper proposed a model based on respond time for the planning of expressway emergency rescue station. We analyze the characteristic of each expressway section by the historical statistics of traffic incidents, such as the number of incidents, casualties, property damage and other indices. The dangerous degree of each section has been calculated, and the section´s requirements of rescue resource have been computed. On this basis, we study the relationship between the system response time and the distribution of the rescue station, we build an optimal location model for the rescue station distribution, by the lowest total cost as the goal, and the system response time as constraints. Finally, in the paper we proposed the method and steps to find the model´s satisfying solution by using of genetic algorithm, and give examples of the application of the distribution model.
