Abstract
In this work we discuss, for the first time according to the authors´ knowledge the specific optical properties of thin epitaxial layers of GGG doped with Ni2+ and Co2+ ions in respect of their application in passive Q switching modules and tunable waveguide lasers operating in the IR spectral range. The disposed set of epitaxial structures with different activator concentrations have been performed by means of Liquid Phase Epitaxy, which enabled growth of TM:GGG films of high structural perfection.
