  • Abstract
    Estimation of crop yield can assist agricultural planners and growers select crops and cultivars for a region and find ways to increase food production. This study uses a geographic information system (ARC/INFO) to gain a suitable index for assessing the effect of agroclimatic resources, landuse and type of soil on wheat yield. In addition, Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) images were used to estimate wheat area. The study proposes to improve the way of estimation of wheat yield by using remote sensing. The study area is located at Shang Qiu County in China
