Abstract
The authors report for the first time on the experimental realization of a wireless interconnect on the nanoscale. This enables us to transfer the proven concept of loaded optical antennas to a new application. In addition, the authors realize a dipole-dipole interaction in plasmonics. This makes the presented configuration a useful tool, not only to overcome high losses, the major disadvantage of highly confined plasmonic waveguides, but also enables in depth studies on the near- and far-field coupling between optical nanoantennas.
