  • Abstract
This paper proposes a mail control system called things mail system (shortened as tmail), which manage and control the delivery of physical mails based on the TCP/IP network and the express services provided by express companies. The tmail systems consist of tmail servers and tmail boxes, which store physical mails for users temporally and are supervised by tmail servers through the Internet. In order to achieve the interoperation of tmail systems, this paper proposes concepts of Universal Traceable Identifier (UTID) and Identifier Tracing Protocol (IDTP). All tmail addresses, tmail boxes, and tmail parcels are identified by UTIDs and all the communications between tmail servers and tmail boxes are based on IDTP protocol. As a third party platform, the tmail systems provide parcels transferring services between express services and senders/recipients, protect users´ privacy, and avoid malicious or spam parcels thoroughly.
