Abstract
The paper presents a methodology for the detection of adverse weather conditions (snow and fog) in video sequences of traffic scenes. The snow falling is detected by tuning the learning parameter of the background model, while the fog is detected by analyzing the frequency spectrum from the Fourier Transform of the image.
