Abstract
A Microstrip-fed quasi-Yagi phased array antenna at Ka-band is designed. This linear antenna array is constituted by 8 microstrip patch unit based on low-temperature co-fired-ceramic (LTCC) substrate(FerroA6M), it has several advantages, e.g., strong direction, broad bandwidth, easy-integration with LTCC circuit systems. 3D EM simulator was utilized to analyse the simulation of the antenna array. Simulation results indicate that the proposed antenna has 16dB gain at 35GHz and 2G bandwidth with less than -14 dB return loss, meanwhile, achieves the scan range of ± 25° without grating lobes. The bandwidth of the array antenna are 22.9% when VSWR<;2, respectively. There is a very broad application prospect in LTCC-technology wireless communication system on the antenna.
