  • Abstract
    Complex product (CoP) innovation is a process of knowledge fusion-oriented collaborative innovative design. In this paper, according to the feature of CoP development, an evolvable shared mental model (ESMM), which is composed of collaborative innovative design process model (DPM), design object model (DOM) based on knowledge ontology and design thinking model (DTM) based on design intention, is proposed. DPM describes the process of collaborative innovative design, DOM describes the explicit knowledge in the design process and DTM describes the tacit knowledge in the design process. Also, the co-evolution method of DOM and the collaborative modeling method of DTM are brought forward, which support explicit knowledge fusion and tacit knowledge fusion of collaborative innovative design separately. Finally, the architecture of CoP collaborative innovative design system based on the ESMM is proposed.
