Abstract
The pulse millimeter wave generators-magnetron diodes of traveling wave (classical magnetrons-CM)-are well known. It is becoming increasingly difficult to develop the CM in a short-wave part of millimeter band. The reason is that it is necessary to provide the high accuracy of manufacturing of the periodical electrodynamics system resonators and to apply the high operating magnetic field. In this report the peculiarities of the operating mode, the power and frequency characteristics of the surface wave magnetrons (SWM) pulse generators, which operate in a short-wave part of millimeter band in the so-called Kharkov regime are discussed.
