White space design and its application for website interface

White space design is a kind of unique visual aesthetic design form, which is typical, prosperous and full of challenges. By this way, white space on the website interface shows the wealthy emotion of human beings. Different white space will produce different psychological feelings of the visual and aesthetic qualities, so that it can lead to a broader art space beyond the concrete design. This paper first discusses the advantages of white space design in visual communication and visual psychology, and then studies the special artistic influence of white space in Website interface design. At the end, we point out that Website designers should make the best use of white space for interface, in order to have the wonderful performance for the interface. A good Web design works by using white space on the interface is full of clear meaning, which can create a nice mood, and inspires viewers to think widely, as well broadens their visual thinking.
