  • Abstract
    How to extend product life circle through innovative design is the responsibility of designer. Through analyzing the reasonable content in ¿Planned Obsolescence¿ and the series design of Ricoh R digital camera, the author bring forward to the product series design model of ¿post planned obsolescence¿. The author points that feature is the core of the model, and technology, function and appearance are the basic elements of product series design in this model. Through flexibly use of these three aspects design, we could gradually and reasonably upgrade the product in order to extend its life cycle and then help enterprise and society to create more wealth.
