Abstract
This paper describes a new design principle of three-axis electronic compass that is extraordinarily suitable for Virtual Auditory Space, owing to the outstanding performances on miniaturization, anti-interference capability and low power consumption. The miniaturization characteristics are mainly obtained by using three-axis Honeywell magneto resistive sensor HMC5843 with digital interface. Low-power consumption chip MSP430F149 is selected as the processor. A compensating algorithm is used to reduce the hard magnetic interference and soft magnetic interference.
