Abstract
This paper describes the control dynamics and robustness improvement of speed drive systems using FLC control. Computer simulation results show that the designed FLC controller realises a good dynamic behaviour of the motor in presence of load disturbances and parameter variations. Therefore properly designed FLC can outperform the traditional PI controller both when the machine is field oriented and when it becomes detuned
