Abstract
Electromagnetic trackers have many favorable characteristics but are notorious for their sensitivity to magnetic field distortion resulting from metal and electronic equipment in environment. Tracking position accurately and precisely is important in 3D Electromagnetic tracking system, so in past years, many work focus on the location of tracker calibration techniques. This paper presented a new tracking method using magnetoresistive sensors array to reduce location errors. With new structure of receiver, a new calibration method is established. According the distance error between two-parallel sensors, the actual location error is compensated. Bench-testing results show the resolution and accuracy evaluated.
