Abstract
The technique consisting of the statement and solution of the appropriate synthesis problems for investigation of the directivity properties of antennas is described. The amplitude radiation pattern is considered as a directivity characteristic of antenna. The synthesis problem is formulated in the variational statement and consists of optimization of functionals, which characterizes the proximity of the synthesized and prescribed amplitude radiation patterns. The algorithms are proposed, and the examples of computer-aided modeling of the radiation pattern of the waveguide array are presented.
