Abstract
This paper describes the design, fabrication and results of a MMIC 7.2 - 16.5 GHz Image Reject Receiver for use in Telecommunication applications. The IF Output has a useful bandwidth from DC to beyond 1 GHz and an Image Rejection of at least 20 dB using nominal biasing points. The conversion gain is greater than 25 dB at 250 MHz and the SSB Noise Figure less than 7 dB. This performance is obtained using one of PML´s standard Foundry Processes, the `DOSML´ which has 0.5 ¿m MESFETS, 100 ¿m substrate and backside viaholes.
