  • Abstract
    A novel dual polarization, high efficiency, waveguide fed flat panel antenna, used as receiving and transmitting antennas for mobile satellite communications, is presented. The detail designs of the element and the feed networks are given. The antenna exhibits high gains and high efficiencies due to the element and the feed networks design. Simulated results for reflection coefficient, gain, isolation and radiation pattern of the antenna are presented. Simulated results show that the designed antenna arrays achieve gains and efficiencies of 31.6 dBi and 80% in Ku band, respectively. The results indicate that the designed antenna is available at millimeter-wave frequencies.
