Abstract
In this paper, a UWB channel within an intra-vehicle environment is investigated. The channel measurement is conducted in frequency domain from 2GHz to 16GHz in different scenarios. The statistical analysis is reported using the channel impulse response calculated afterwards via inverse Fourier Transform. The small scale features is then theoretically deduced. A clustering channel model is developed by modifying the IEEE 802.15.3a indoor model to fit into the vehicular environments with dense and concentrated clusters and rays.
