  • Abstract
    An accurate analysis of the Y-junction in dielectric rib waveguide is performed by expanding the fields in terms of an orthonormal complete spectrum, taking into account radiation effects arising at the vertex of the Y. Various junction profiles are considered and radiation patterns are examined.
