  • Abstract
Aerobic static litter composting, by using sawdust as main litter materials, simulating pig raising under three stocking density: 0.7 square meter per a pig, 1.0 square meter per a pig and 1.6 square meter per a pig, was studied in pilot scale for obtaining the best stocking density. The indexes such as temperature, C/N and germination index were analyzed to examine effect of different stocking density on litter composting. Results show that: litter composting under the compost with1.0 square meter per a pig can realize high-temperature aerobic composting, and its coli form bacteria index accords with hygienic standard. Litter composting with1.0 square meter per a pig had a higher degree of maturity compared with the compost with 0.7 square meters per a pig and the compost with 1.6 square meters per a pig.
