Abstract
The Gaussian beam method based on complex source expansion can be used for simulation of antenna patterns. In this paper, the feed pattern is simulated by several Gaussian beams, and then the reflected fields from the reflector are computed by a complex ray paraxial approximation to obtain the radiation pattern of the reflector. The influences of feed displacement both transversely and longitudinally on the reflector patterns are analysed. The numerical results given by this method agree very well with those by other methods.
