Abstract
In this paper, we present design and implementation of PRSF (Proactive Robot Service Framework) which enables the home service robot to provide an adequate service for a user in a proactive manner. In recent years, the home service robot has been appeared and its usage has been highly evaluated. The proactiveness is one of the key aspects to make a robot seem to be intelligent and enhance its service capability. The proposed system employs situation-aware technology and probabilistic inference technique to provide the home service robot with an operational automaticity. That is, situations of services are aware by using outputs of sensor networks and RFID system and the decision of a service is made by the probabilistic inference technique using the Bayesian Networks. So that robots can automatically be aware of current situations, select a current-possible service, reason whether the service time is or not, and provide the service without user´s command.
