Abstract
Cloud computing is widely recognized as next generation computing paradigm. It refers to the provision of computing resources and services on demand based on the Internet. It is vital to constantly connect to the Internet for stably receiving cloud services on the road. This paper proposes a gateway discovery mechanism for getting stable connection to the Internet. Related performance, namely, signaling overhead, packet delivery rate, and end-to-end delay, of gateways are investigated. As shown in the simulation results, mobile gateways outperform stationary gateways in many aspects.
