Abstract
A multirate discrete-time sliding mode control scheme is presented for control chattering reduction. A boundary layer discrete-time sliding mode control is designed using a computation effective multirate control scheme. An illustrative example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed multirate sliding mode control scheme to produce smoother control inputs.
