Abstract
The losses of the transformer and the local temperature will increase because of the harmonic, so the efficiency and the service life of transformer will reduce. Therefore, it is significant to study the transformer´s harmonic losses in energy conservation and economic operation. Firstly, methods to calculate the harmonic losses are summarized in the paper, which are improved parameter method, measurement method and the equivalent method. Their advantages and disadvantages are also reviewed in the paper. The simulation of six-pulse rectifier circuit and the fitting curves of total harmonic losses are made under different voltage distortions, so it is intuitive to identify the accuracy of different methods. Through the results of comparison, different methods are given under varying voltage distortions.
