  • Abstract
Multipath possesses additional challenges to the problem of mobility estimation. The wireless observations, such as received signal strength indicator (RSSI) and time of arrival (TOA), contain the information regarding the reflected paths of the signals instead of the line-of-sight (LOS) distance and cause inaccuracies when used for location estimation. We evaluated the performance of our earlier proposed mobility estimation algorithm based on an autoregressive model (AR-I) in multipath environment. In this paper, we present the results of our evaluation tests and show that the algorithm performs well even when LOS signal is not present and the radio signals are delayed. We also show the range of random delays that can be tolerated by the AR-I estimation algorithm
