Abstract
Concerns the problem of rendering a nonlinear system asymptotically stable via feedback when there is a direct input-output feedthrough. The author finds suitable conditions under which a feedback-equivalent passive system can be locally asymptotically stabilized via regular static output feedback. The author extends a solution previously proposed in the literature if the output of the system is exclusively a function of the state, particularizing his analysis to a special class of cascaded systems
