Abstract
Applying smart antennas to the communication system with FDD mode is still a difficulty which remains to be answered, due to the existing frequency difference between uplink and downlink. In this paper, downlink beam forming was implemented in terms of transmission-receiving reciprocity theorem of antennas and receiver feedback of fade parameters. According to simulation analysis, the results reveal that SA can be applied and achieve better performance in a certain frequency difference range for different FDD systems. And increase of the difference will result in obvious performance degradation.
