Abstract
This paper proposes a 6-tuples based structure of ontology model for semantic retrieval, and uses description logic as expression tool to semantically describe the atomic term, complex terms, instances, instances description, attribute assignment and axioms. Based on the new structure, this paper proposes two types of reasoning (terms-oriented and instances-oriented) for the application of semantic retrieval, as well as the conversion mechanisms and determining algorithms, which enables the reasoning for various relations in a specific domain according to the rules set by domain experts. Finally, this paper puts forward four kinds of information retrieval rules, and analyzes the applications of this new structure in semantic retrieval.
