Abstract
The pasture weeds Scotch thistle and serrated tussock were successfully mapped by classification of multitemporal Landsat TM imagery. Discrimination was due to the physical size of the weeds, density of infestation and significant reflectance differences from other pasture vegetation. Mapping was limited to infestations of greater than 20% groundcover
