Abstract
In this paper a stochastic programming model is proposed to determine a relief equipment layout system for earthquake disasters. Since it is difficult to predict the timing and magnitude of any disaster and its impact, the disposition process is treated in a random manner, and both the epicenter and magnitude and the following resource requirements are represented as random variables. We will establish a multi-stage stochastic programming model for relief equipment layout. At the same time, its determinate equivalence is solved with Lingo software package. Finally, a case study is presented to highlight the significance of the proposed model.
