  • Abstract
The series-parallel hybrid system using a planetary gear realizes low-fuel consumption and restraining of the exhaust gas by performing an optimal control of the internal combustion engine (ICE) with various driving modes. On the other hand, the hybrid system using electric variable transmission (EVT) has been proposed. This paper presents a theoretical consideration on equivalency of the series-parallel hybrid system and the hybrid system using the EVT. Additionally, some experimental results and simulation results are compared to confirm equivalency of the two systems.
