Abstract
The Envisat commissioning phase lasts for six months and incorporates the instrument switch-on and data acquisition phase (SODAP) where the instruments´ operation will be verified and the calibration /validation activities are carried out. This paper presents the plans and the approach adopted for validation of the atmospheric chemistry instruments
