Abstract
In this paper, we propose a Fault Tolerant and Storage Efficient Directed Diffusion (FTSDD) scheme for wireless sensor networks. In this new protocol, the interest-associated node only store neighbor nodes in the gradient direction to the sink, and provide a strong tolerance against node failures. The simulation results have shown that the proposed scheme is more storage and can reduce data loss rate, and increase the throughput of networks.
