  • Abstract
    Low-beta insertions for round and flat beams are analyzed. lt is found that the potential advantage in luminosity with round beams is offset by the difficulty of having a small beta in both planes. Scaling laws are discussed which provide a general overview of the performance of low-beta insertions.<>
