Abstract
The paper presents joint application of superabsorption and near-to-far field transform to the vector 2D FDTD method for the analysis of axisymmetrical antennas. The superabsorbing operator is originally extended to apply to vector 2D modelling. The near-to-far field transform is specially reformulated to take into account the assumed azimuthal field distribution. Theoretical studies and practical examples confirm remarkable effectiveness and accuracy of the method for the analysis of axisymmetrical antennas of arbitrarily shaped and filled long-section.
