Abstract
The reliability of web services is a critical problem when use web service infrastructure, especially when the states of different web services are involved. This paper presents a new-designed reliable web service system through status monitoring and replication network. Traditional web service is regarded as stateless, though the state has great impact on the success rate of execution. In this paper, during the period of service execution, we maintain a list of functionally interchangeable service nodes to form a replication network. The states of the services in the replication network are well monitored through mechanism based on Web Services Resource Framework (WSRF). The component nodes of the replication network are carefully selected in consideration of both system reliability and the cost of maintain such a network. In this way, proper replica can be activated when current web service fail to fulfill user´s demand and the success rate can be improved.
