  • Abstract
    The paper shows how can be properties of I - Q (In-phase Quadrature) demodulator improved by microstrip BP (Band-Pass) and LP (Low-Pass) filters. The goal of this article is to introduce a design of multilayer structure which includes all parts of I - Q demodulator based on LTCC (Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic) substrate Green Tape 951PX. The presented method shows advantages of this unconventional “LTCC” approach for the construction of multilayer I - Q demodulator with embedded microstrip filters. The article also show the impact of interlayer vias on microstrip LP filters´ performances up to 13.5 GHz. The paper assess the suitability of two conducting pastes (DuPont 6414 and DuPont TC701) used for via fill on microstrip LP filters performances.
