  • Abstract
Wheelchair users are restricted in terms of their action space depending on the condition of the road such as a bump or steep gradient. The government has to consider a comfortable living for a physically handicapped person in their social environment. The purpose of this study is to make a barrier-free map for a physically handicapped person. There are many problems to be considered in making the barrier-free map. Introducing remote sensing, a geographic information system and the Global Positioning System (GPS) will solve these problems. However, the measurement of a wide area cannot be carried out in present RTK-GPS. A VRS (Virtual Reference Station) system using the infrastructure of broadcasting should be used in order to solve the problem.
