  • Abstract
    This paper addresses the problem of decoding the space-time bit-interleaved coded signals transmitted over multiple-input multiple-output block fading multipath channel when channel state information is not perfect at the receiver. We develop a cooperative approach in which the channel estimation, channel equalization, data detection, and outer decoding are performed separately and iteratively. A computationally efficient method is proposed where most of the inner modules rely on the suboptimal MMSE criterion. The approach is validated through Monte-Carlo simulations.
