Abstract
Summary form only given. Results on creation of new generation compact optical clock using highly stable femtosecond light pulses are presented. Femtosecond optical synthesizers allowing absolute frequency measurements from the optical to the radio range with an accuracy of 10/sup -16/ and higher are considered. New results of optical frequency measurements at transitions of atoms and molecules are reported.
