Abstract
Presentation slides describing the main challenges affecting UK CGM factories in 2006 and describes how the factories are having to respond. The talk looks at the different aspects of manufacturing (quality, safety, cost control, etc.) and details the latest requirements. Whilst describing each specific area, the author also posses a challenge to suppliers to react to these ever more stringent requirements. The author claims that the competitive edge of CGM factories will be heavily influenced by improved services from their suppliers. The talk will be of particular interest to suppliers wanting to know the right services to offer CGM factories and to manufacturers wishing to benchmark their own areas of focus.
