Abstract
In order to improve the estimation precision of the cyclic ESPRIT, an improved cyclic ESPRIT is proposed by exploring the cyclostationarity of the narrow bandwidth signals received by antenna array. The improved algorithm uses a new method to choose the frequency for evaluating the steering vector. Furthermore, a simple array configuration is used to achieve joint elevation angle and azimuth angle estimations. Finally, the simulation results show that, comparing with the classical ESPRIT, the new algorithm is able to perform signal selective direction of arrival (DOA) estimation and improves the estimation performance greatly; comparing with the cyclic ESPRIT, its estimation precision is also improved in some manner.
