Abstract
The potential of using the eigen-analysis of the coherency matrix is discussed for improved understanding of microwave interaction mechanism in vegetated areas. Using a nonsymmetric vegetation scattering model, a theoretical target matrix is generated to compare the eigen-parameters of the coherency matrix with vegetated scattering mechanisms.
