  • Abstract
    The purpose of this study is to investigate the energy consumption characteristics of government office buildings in Beijing. Four office buildings were chosen to analyze the energy consumption features and annual energy consumption trends. Energy efficiency potential of government office buildings were analyzed from the six perspectives. The results show that the air conditioning energy consumption was 25.9 kwh/m2·a, accounted for 53.9% of the total energy consumption. Building envelop, heating and air conditioning system were the key factors in the energy efficiency retrofit.
