Abstract
A miniature reconfigurable printed antenna for cognitive radio applications in presented in this paper. The proposed antenna occupies a compact volume of 65×75×0.8 mm, operating at 3 distinct frequencies in the range of 2.5-6GHz by activation of only two switches. The design is a simple printed monopole structure with Top hats on a FR4 substrate and exhibits broadband characteristics response. Initial investigation including design, operation and simulation results is presented in this paper.
